Recently I have had a few prospective clients baulk at the first mention of a deposit, so I wanted to write a little about why I implemented this practice. I know that not every girl requires a deposit, but for myself and many other girls it is a necessary measure in order to prevent losing money. In the past I have had my fair share of no-shows and time-wasters. I understand that we all get busy, and that sometimes there are things that come up and cannot be helped, but those times are usually few and far between. A year ago, after experiencing two no shows within the space of a week I decided that it was time to change things.
Firstly, let me give you an idea of what goes into meeting with a client from my perspective. As soon as the enquiry comes in, I do my research to get as much information as I can find about the client because as always, my number one priority is my safety. Writing the texts to answer questions, screen the client, and arrange the booking all take time. Then comes preparation. I consider myself to be an elite escort; that is my clients are paying a prime rate to see me, and I want to be sure I am delivering a service in accordance with that fee. That means I take the time to shower, buff my skin until it is silky smooth, apply lotions and cosmetics, then style my hair and perfect my makeup. This process can take anywhere from one to two hours. I then have to travel to the location of the booking, and with Perth being almost as geographically widespread as a city could be, it often takes me 30 – 40 minutes to get to where I need to be, and of course there is also the journey home afterwards. So that gives us a rough total of THREE HOURS that goes into preparing for, and travelling to a booking.
Now consider that I go to all this trouble, and the client is a no-show. They got busy, or thought I wouldn’t mind re-scheduling, or any one of a myriad of excuses, and I am out THREE HOURS of my time. That is time that I reserved exclusively for the client. It is time that I told other potential clients I could not see them at. At times I have turned away bookings because I had made a commitment to this client, so not only do I lose this client’s payment, but I lose the payment of the people I have turned away. I have bills to pay just like everyone else, and that is why I request a non-refundable deposit.
I thought it was obvious, but just in case it is not perfectly clear, your deposit is deducted from the total cost of the booking, but if you no-show or cancel at the last minute, you’re not getting that money back! I use an app that protects both my own privacy and yours to collect this deposit, so really there is just no excuse as to why you cannot pay it unless it is because you do not intend to follow through, and those are exactly the people I am filtering out by implementing this practice.
I hope this gives you a better understanding of why both myself, and many other girls find it necessary to confirm with a deposit. I promise I am not trying to make off with your hard-earned $$$, but simply to make sure you don’t do the same with all of mine.
Have a wonderful week everyone! xxxxx
